What this check can and cannot establish

    A printed truck-meter ticket is the transaction record. A tank reading is an independent planning check, not a replacement for a certified delivery meter.

    Stick readings create a narrower estimate than coarse float-gauge fractions. Tank tilt, reading technique, chart precision, and fuel movement widen the result.

    Does a difference mean the delivery ticket is wrong?

    No. The tank estimate can differ because of a coarse gauge, an incorrect tank match, tank tilt, reading timing, or measurement technique. Recheck those facts and use the printed delivery ticket when contacting the supplier.

    Why is the expected amount a range?

    The range combines reading resolution with the manufacturer chart's stated precision. It is intentionally wider for fraction-gauge readings than for careful stick depths.
